Video Games and Human Values Initiative

A new kind of conversation about games in culture

I've started archiving clips of all the articles I link here via a public Evernote notebook.

I've also started trying to collaborate with Ben Abraham (Critical Distance and SLRC) on pulling clips and feeds together. If you'd like to be part of that work (because you like helping, want to see how the sausage is made, of would like to see more clips and links--perhaps for your own link-outs), don't hesitate to let me know. You can contact me here, as ErikAlanHanson in the Googleverse (mail, Wave, Voice), or as Erik_A_Hanson on Twitter.

EDIT: Fixed links.

Also, my understanding is that wave permissions are either in/out, so I can't make it read-only for just some users while others besides me can edit. I may need to look into that to be sure, and am happy to be corrected.

I haven't taken the wave public because I am cowardly, dictatorial and old fashioned. That said, I am considering it. Until I decide I'm ready to treat this like the internet in the 21st century, I am willing to add people individually. Drop me a request there or let me know your Wave address some other way, and I'll add you.

It'd be really nice if there were:
1) A bookmarklet (such as Google Reader's or Evernote's) that could add clippings and comments to a particular wave.
2) A Wave bot that would convert Wave text formatting into HTML--or a widget that could export a wave in HTML.

Are you doing anything with public waves in Google Wave? I'd love to peek in on those if you do; I think Wave is a great form of communication for this sort of stuff.
